This is Bob Junior, the majestic king of his territory in the Serengeti. He stands proudly on top of a kopje, one of the isolated rocky hills that rise like islands above the Namer plains, shaded by scattered trees.

This magnificent lion was tragically killed in March 2023 by younger rivals who seized his pride and territory.
